Hi all,

I'd like to start a topic here to introduce the theme of meditating, balancing ourselves, and retaining our attention back to our own stillness, content & harmony.

Our attention is mainly thrusted outwardly and caught up in the masses of things going on in the outer world. This is not wrong, but what I wish to present here is a way for us to retain that awareness and how it is pulled, by sharing with you my own method for stilling my attention.

The result of the meditation is a sense of calm, a stillness, and feeling of peace. It is a technique used at large in many countries and is always free where ever they hold meetings or classes.

I have been doing this technique on and off for almost 9 years now, so have managed to become very familiar with its benefits.

Because our attention is often pulled outwardly, we can be led to many outer distractions that make us plough our personal energy into things devotedly, without ever stopping for a moment to regroup that outward pouring energy flow.

The meditation creates in us a period where the attention is no longer pulled outwardly, where it is stilled and not moving around. The stillness allows our energy currents to rest on our own central magnetism.

The meditation technique that I use and that has worked for me is called Sahaja Yoga, and can be found at www.sahajayoga.org

It is done globally and is there is no cost for learning the technique. It was introduced to the world in 1970 by a lady called Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi.

Please feel free to take a look and consider its benefits.
